Prevention is better than cure is a most famous proverb which is a big example to us in our daily life. It teaches us to maintain a healthy, disciplined, and tension free lifestyle in order to remain away from any health issue or disease. It is easy to follow prevention methods to be safe from any problem however cure is a while dangerous for our health as it do not give surety of complete wellness once we get suffered from some problems. It is much easier for us to prevent the problem from happening than solving it when happened.

It is good to go to the doctor when we get sick but it is very good when we don’t need to go to the doctor all around the year. Being healthy is much better than falling sick which is only possible when we follow prevention methods and be safe. It is very necessary for us to take all the precautionary and preventive measures in advance and avoid silly mistakes. We should take precautions during the change of every season so that we may not fall sick. Being indifferent or negligent to our health may definitely cause illness which may end to the costly cure and perhaps, sometimes impossible to get normal health.

Essay on prevention is better than cure

We sometimes handle a knife carelessly, cut our fingers, allow the cut to go septic and. when the pain is unbearable, consult a doctor. The doctor prescribes a prolonged and costly treatment. Wouldn't it have been better for us to have taken due precaution while using the knife? In fact, we can always protect ourselves against common ailments and diseases by resorting to proper precautionary, preventive measures.

Very often. we are careless and do things thoughtlessly. We ignore signs that indicate the possibility of trouble. Finally when the trouble occurs, we regret our neglect, but by then it is too late. The proverb 'Prevention is better than cure' advises us to take necessary steps to stop something unpleasant from happening. This proverb has universal application. Proper maintenance of machines, buildings, roads or bridges can prevent their deterioration and thus forrestal disaster. Health authorities should take prompt and effective steps during times of natural calamities in order to prevent the outbreak of epidemics. At the national level too, many problems that we are facing today would not have existed had the government acted firmly, promptly and boldly at the very start.

The proverb stresses the need for foresight and precaution in dealing with every situation in our lives. If we develop such an attitude, it would certainly be much better than facing misery and searching for expensive remedies later on.
