We had an excursion on ther first of June.It was Sunday.We had gone to school as usual.The weather was very fine.The sky was overeast with clouds.We had been waiting for long for such a fine day for excursion.So we cried for a holiday.Our request was granted and the school broke up at 7.a.m
All the school girls decided to go to the canal.We contributed rupees ₹50 per head.We purchased some sweets and fruits.We also took our meals with us.
We reached our destination within 2:30 hours.The peon had already been there with a big carpet.We spread the carpet on grassy plot.
First of all we bathed in a canal.Almost all of us were good swimmers.We swam,dived and splashed to our heart's content.
After bathing we sang and played.We placed mango baskets in the center and sat around them in a circle.We all ate the mangoes to our fill.After mangoes we drank juice. What a fine recreation it was!
