My class was taken on an excursion last month. A bus was arranged. We sat in it and it took us to all the places we had to see. We were all very happy. We sang on our way and the bus speeded through various towns and villages. The sound of the horn was a constant irritant but we could tolerate it because we were too busy having a good singing session in the bus.

We were going to see the all parts of Chandigarh, is a city in India located in the northern part of the country. The state of Punjab borders the city to the north, west and south, and the state of Haryana in the east. Chandigarh was the first-ever planned city in India.

The bus stopped on the way at a restaurant. We all got off the bus to have some refreshment. Our teachers had to take good care of us lest anybody got lost. After half an hour we were on our way again Many of my friends started feeling a little sleepy and tired.,

The unique thing about the city is the expanse of glorious blue sky with the Shivalik Hills in the backdrop. Chandigarh is a unique blend of modernization and nature preservation residing together. Thus this beautiful serene city is rightly called “The City Beautiful “.

The beautiful green city has several tourist locations such as– The rock garden, Rose Garden, Government Museum and Art Gallery, Musical Fountain, Butterfly Garden, Botanical Garden, International Dolls Museum, Sukhna Lake, Japanese Garden and many more. This city is also known to be very secure and has the lowest crime rates in the country; you can feel safe at any hour. For tourists to explore Chandigarh, August to November will be the ideal months. The sun-bathed piazzas of the city, it’s neat residential sectors, and the broad tree-lined streets are not just what defines this modern Indian city. It’s so much more, and that is why its residents so love Chandigarh.

It was a memorable trip. We drove back home but the return journey was filled with a bit of sadness, It was the end of great two days in my school life.
