Every Indian would agree to the fact that Sri Atal Bihari
Vajpayee had contributed immensely towards the progress of India. During his
tenure as the Prime Minister of India his contribution towards national highway
projects, foreign policy and reforms are some things to be remembered. He as a Prime
Minister of India brought many reforms that took India a step forward. He
introduced the increased public sector and foreign investments in government organizations.
This resulted in less loss for the government and faster economic growth for
the country. The transition was not smooth, but was a definite necessity. He privatized
certain government organizations and this immensely boosted the economy of
India. The share market started booming with all the positive steps taken by
him towards the economic development of the country. He also introduced the
National Highway Development Project and the Pradhanmantri Sadak Yojna. Sri Atal
Bihari Vajpayee was in favor of free market reforms to take the country forward
economically. The labor Unions along with the opposition parties protested vehemently,
but this did not stop Vajpayee in favor of doing what was right for the
economic growth of India. Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee also gave immense importance
to research work as he knew that the country would progress with successful
research work.
