Shoot animals with a camera, not with a gun

Charles Darwin said, “There is no fundamental difference between man and the higher animals in their mental faculties... The lower animals, like man, manifestly feel pleasure and pain, happiness, and misery.”

Some people take immense pleasure in hunting animals. They have expensive animal shooting guns, and organize hunting expeditions. They take so much macho pride in encroaching into their animal kingdom and then chasing and killing unarmed, unhostile, innocent animals. These brutal men render the animal families orphan. Imagine the hue and cry that would be raised if any man were hunted like an animal! Why is this discrimination?

God created all life forms with equal care and love. As man loves freedom, so do all forms of animals. They have feelings, emotions, and a natural desire to live. How unethical and brutal to kill an innocent animal for pleasure! If you have ever watched an animal documentary on Discovery or National Geographical Channel, or Animal Planet, you will come to know how complex their life is. You will see they never hunt outside their habitats! You will also see how they care for their young ones and life-partners! They are so adorable and lovable! The man who thinks of destroying such wonderful creatures must be insanely savage.

It is my appeal to such killers of life that if they want to gratify their hunting instincts, they should rather do it with camera, instead of a gun. I assure them they will derive much more pleasure out of it. Besides, by not killing them, they will spare themselves of the guilt, regret, and divine justice that they might have to face on account of the brutal hunting of animals. While capturing the wonderfully beautiful moments of the life of animals in their camera, they will develop animal love in their hearts. Besides, it is not morally and ethically right to deprive any creatures of the right of living in their own home. We must let them live there. We must follow the precept of ‘Live and let live others’ conscientiously.
