Space programme's in India initially starts with Ist space satellite i.e. ‘Aryabhatta’ on April 19, 1975.
It was launched from soviet cosmodrome with help of Soviet rocket which pointes India’s huge leap.
‘Bhaskara’ launched on June 7, 1979 and was launched from Soviet cosmodrome.
‘Rohini’ which was first Indian satellite put into space by SLV-III an Indian rocket.
In 2014, India becomes the fourth nation to launch a satellite to Mars.
This mission was known as India’s Mars Orbiter Mission.
The Indian Space Research Organization or ISRO has carried out 97 spacecraft missions and 68 launch missions.
Even they have planned other missions such as Chandrayaan-2 and Aditya-spacecraft.
Apart from that, ISRO also launches satellites for foreign countries, and as on Jan, 2017, ISRO launched 104 satellites for different countries.
