Today, is my sports day...
A sports day require so many outdoor and indoor games like kho-kho, kabaddi, ludo, marching, chess, heat race and so many games also held. Children can take part in these events and no one can stop your way. It is a memorable and exciting day for participants. Everyone which participate want to win but everyone can't. So who don't win the game they don't feel bad because they just to participate... So sports day is a exciting day for us. And who win they awarded certificate and prize....
Preparations for the event had started a week ago. On the appointed day, our principal formally declared the day open at 10 am. The games included football and basketball matches, races, jumps and other track events. I took part in the 50 m and 100 m races and received a silver cup in the former. The team from my class won the relay race.
The 100 m race, which was very exciting, was won by my friend Mansoor. My other friend Rajat, secured the first position in the long jump. But my classmate Anish fell and injured himself during high jump.
The event came to a close with the distribution of prizes, which were given away by our principal. The following day was declared holiday by our principal. Sports is one such activity which helps us in maintaining a proper physique and a positive mentality.
