Answer:

A STREET BEGGAR :-

Beggars are very common in India . They are more in towns than in village . They wander in streets and bazaars and beg alms . They adopt different methods to win sympathy of others . Most of them accept of cash and clothes in charity . They are mainly of two kinds .

There are girls who are able - bodied . They are idlers . They do not want to work . They simply want to live on the charity of others . Some of them are thieves , cheats or criminals . They are burden on society . Then there are beggars who are physically disabled they cannot earn for themselves . They really deserve our sympathy and help .

A street beggar is a very common sight in towns . He is generally very meanly dressed . He is dirty . He seldom washes himself . He speaks very humbly to get alms. He express his helplessnesd . He shows his starving face he goes from house to house asking for alms .

Some householders , especially women , give him a little money or a handful of flour or some eatables . He thanks and blesses them . But some people abuse him and turn him away. He curses them. Such beggars are mostly to be found at pilgrim centres, bus stand, railway station, near temple and in streets .

A begger pretends to be sick. He complains of pain in knees. He totters on the road. He pretends to be blind. In this way he gets alms.

Beggars are a great nuisance in this country. Some of them misuse their earnings . It is the duty of our government to make them useful members of society All able - bodied beggar should be provided with work. Social institution should help them get work. Those who are unfit for work should be sent to poor houses. Begging is shameful and it should be stopped by law .
