Respect is earned and can't be demanded.Every teacher needs to very clearly understand the relevance of this statement not just for the heck of saying But thoroughly applying and incorporating in the classroom culture.

Holding permanent grudges against some students pertaining to their behaviour or any other problem is an abominable act that can be comprehended by the affected students in no time and the result can be vice versa.Understand the age difference, hence maturity level of the teacher obviously, has to be high ,shouldn't be taking an offence in a manner that the child stops respecting you.

Teachers who have a sort of deception about themselves that they are perfect and thorough with their subject but students have a different opinion about them lose respect easily.Try and improve as teachers every day..in every way..the scope is endless.Don't just enter a senior class if you aren't made for it similarly if you can gel with the juniors only then should you plunge into their world.

When in the classroom, strike the perfect balance required.. neither get too friendly with the kids nor wear that Hitler like image..they must know you mean business and that's it.Children hate to listen to your long dragged stories.Just be crisp, teach to the point, make your lessons captivating.

Kids can at once make out how and why teachers are partial to a few. In that case you can never earn respect of the class on the whole. You have to be fair, just,impartial,..sounds like an idealistic approach..well,as conscientious teachers you have to be..there's no choice.

Hope every teacher does justice to the chosen profession.Respect would spontaneously follow.
