Essay on survival by Margaret atwood

Survival by Margaret Atwood:
Survival by Margaret Atwood was published in 1972 and was regarded as a thematic guide to Canadian literature. It has various aspects of the culture, traditions, languages, people, behavioral traits, etc. In 1971, it was realized that secularism and multiculturalism in Canada is increasing and it was no more, only about the Canadian population. Keeping in mind the variety of cultures, this book was ideated.
One of the main objectives of the 'Survival' was to promote the distinct national Canadian literature. But some of its elements, were neglected from being taken care of. Firstly, it was much centered towards the literary elements of Toronto and that of western Canada was completely ignored. Secondly, its writings and their interpretations were very superfluous.
According to me, the book and its interpretations may ooze out a bad and the negative impression of the Canadian literary elements. Rather than reading survival to know about the Canadian Literature, one should sit with the literary form of arts such as anecdotes, novels, short stories, poems, and etc. From different genres and from experts from distinct backgrounds of Canada.
