Then, the first case came to East Lyme. It hit everyone that the coronavirus was a larger threat than expected. All plans to meet each other were cancelled, and without the NBA and other sports, time off was starting to feel like a punishment.
Although social media has become a ritual in our everyday lives, we were scrounging to find more. And then we did something unexpected: We started spending more time talking to their family and playing simple board games.
