Good morning everyone. I m going to express my views ' development of nation should be given priority over defence' and i m going to speak in favour of it.

Development of a nation should indeed be given priority and all the other secondary things will automatically follow. I would like to support it with the following argumments:

National development means a very strong economy. It means boom of economical activities in the country; it means the national coffers have enough and surplus money which can be invested on all the other essential projects such as huge spending on defense and research projects.

Let me bring this fact to my knowledgeable audiences' that all the advanced nations such as America, France, Japan, Israel, Russia, China etc. became developed first; the advancement in defence followed naturally. America, the most advanced nation in defense, had plenty of surplus money to invest in defense projects. It possess all the most advanced weapons.

So if any nation in the world wants to be very advanced in defense, it must be exceedingly developed. It must have a strong economy.
