First the company got a charter that the only this company could trade and bring goods at cheap price. they thought that this could prevent the increase in amount of goods they buy. Because the British aim was not conquer india their intension was to trade with india. Along with British many countries came to trade in India. This caused in raise in amount . So British defeated other major trading companies by arms and started trading. As their aim was Mercantile trading they need to buy goos at cheap price so they bribed and got the zamindari right over three villages . And persuaded to get farmn , so they can trade without any tax.they started building forts and annexing settlements , how could nawab of bengal do anything. Due to this battle of plassey started. before this the company officially complained that they ask big tributes, disallow the right to mint coins and asks taxes for persons who are trading privately. the nawabs complained that company wrote direspectful letters. and due to many dissatisfaction the battle of plassey started and then they controled India.
