The Magical Tea Pot
I’ve taken to heart The Secret’s teaching that we should see the Law of Attraction as a great, magical Genie of the Universe who grants our every wish.
Just for kicks, I thought it would be nice to have a genie lamp of my very own (All the better to remind myself of this teaching.)
To make a long story short, I searched over a dozen antique stores for a brass “genie” lamp — Nothing.
In the VERY last store, I saw it — a ceramic teapot shaped like Aladdin’s magical lamp! (Who am I to quibble with the Universe over such a petty detail as brass vs. ceramic?)
There was one small hitch, though — my ceramic “genie lamp” teapot cost $80. Remembering another teaching of The Secret, I began muttering to myself, “I can afford this … I can afford this … I can afford this.”
I found tucked in the back of the store an IDENTICAL ceramic “genie lamp” teapot … on sale for 50 percent off! Seeing this as a sign from the Universe, I bought the marked-down teapot and took it home.
I’m truly convinced that SOMETHING lives inside my “magical” genie lamp teapot. Ever since I brought the teapot home, I’ve received several lucrative job offers.
It’s comforting to know that I have a Genie of the Universe looking out for me and granting my every wish. Every day, I rub my “lamp” and say, “Thank You, Genie.”
Every since I brought the teapot home, I’ve felt empowered and invigorated. I don’t know how I ever got along without it.
