Nature is speaking to us every day, and it is high time to listen.
Our planet Earth exists for about 4.5 billion years. Earth has provided an optimal environment for life to thrive. From bacteria to cells, plants, animals and us human beings, Earth has always been generous. I believe that our planet is alive, just like you and I, and this is the reason why I also like to call it “Gaia”. Originally, in mythology, Gaia is the name of the primal Greek Mother Goddess, great mother of all that exists, creator and giver of birth to the Earth and the Universe. This name was revived in the late 70’s by scientist and environmentalist James Lovelock in his book “Gaia: A New Look at Life on Earth”. Lovelock’s hypothesis proposes that living organisms and inorganic material are part of a dynamical system that shapes the Earth’s biosphere, and maintains the Earth as a fit environment for life. If you look a bit around you, you will easily see that nature is organized in a precise and harmonious way.
