Essay on the topic imagine a day without plastic in 500 words
Answers
Yesterday in our college there was a drive against Usage of Plastic. So, naturally I started thinking about the same. I started imagining that can I live without plastic at least one day !
The morning starts with plastic tooth brush and toothpaste in plastic packing. Then for exercise we lay plastic mat on the floor. We get milk in plastic packets. This is how plastic welcomes us from the morning itself. So, if we start thinking about no plastic then we will have to go back to our past days where we used twigs to brush our teeth. Milk used to be delivered to houses in kettles and we used to receive it in our own vessels. There were no plastic mats instead there were straw mats.
If we start thinking about life without plastic then we will have to stop buying online goods. Instead we should start buying local goods that available nearby. For shopping we have to carry our own cotton bags.
Many things would get altered if we stop using plastic. And that change would prove beneficial for whole mankind, animals as well as nature.
‘Imagine a day without plastic’
Plastic pollution is the accumulation of plastic objects in the Earth's environment which negatively impacts wildlife, humans, and wildlife habitat. It is normal to see plastic bags on the market. These bags are available in different sizes and are handy for shopping. They are light and cheap. This is the reason why they are commonly used. It is normal to see plastic bags on the market. Such bags are available in different sizes and are useful for shopping. They are light and cheap. This is the reason why extensive use is made of these.
However, it is important to understand that these are similarly harmful to the environment as easy as they are to bring and use them. The plastic bags are non-biodegradable, unlike the fabric and paper bags. It is a struggle to get rid of them. Used plastic bags linger for years in the atmosphere and lead to contamination of land and water. This is why the use of these bags has been banned by many countries. Many countries have substituted plastic bags for paper bags and reusable cloth bags.
Would you think life without plastic can be lived? Because plastic products make our daily lives more comfortable, most people today find life without plastic impossible. There are easy ways to limit your exposure, and you can adopt these strategies to start your journey to plastic-free living For example, our seas would be healthier, there would likely be 1 million more sea birds, 100,000 more marine mammals, and lots of fish living in the oceans every year, not to mention a lot less waste in 1000 years. Maybe our petrol price would be lower, as it seems that the amount of petroleum used to make 14 plastic bags is enough to drive a one-mile car! If it wasn't in demand to make plastic bags, maybe when we visit the local petrol pump we would save a little money?! It'd be great, it wouldn't. Beaches would be safer and more environmentally friendly.
Healthier, significantly smaller dump areas, rare animal species would be safer, and if they did not use plastic bags, councils and municipalities would save money to clear garbage from the roads. Trees will no longer function as cobwebs to trap broken or discarded plastic bags, so we wouldn't have the cabinet in our kitchen jammed full of unused plastic bags that we don't know what to do with. We would even be safe while riding from the hazards of blowing plastic bags on our windscreens. The positive things are infinite! What's really good is that making an impact on this isn't hard. All we need to do is note when we go shopping to take reusable bags and refuse to take free plastic bags from shops.
