LIFE IN POST COVID-19
Explanation:
Earnest Hemingway once said that "Night is always darker before the dawn and life is the same, the hard times will pass, everything will get better and the sun will shine brighter than ever." This quote sums up all I want to say in one sentence. That during these troublesome times where lockdown and quarantine are the only things keeping us alive we sometimes may lose hope, but as Cayla Mills formally said: "You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have." Sure everything's probably gonna change but if we stay united we can overcome any impediments.
Life is gonna change drastically after lockdown, people would not be able to talk to each other smoothly without dreading that they might get Corona. There might not be school with concern that students might get this virus from others. This fear of each other will continue until a treatment is found for the disease. As of now, countless people are left unemployed in the world due to the panic of spreading the disease further. Overall, what we should try to minimize is hardship and deaths from the pandemic. In the past few weeks, we have seen reports of hunger, homelessness, vagrancy even deaths during lockdown, coupled with government apathy to these issues. We, therefore, need to ensure that the poor are not neglected or abandoned as we protect ourselves, from the viral infection. For the poor, an extended lockdown poses a health risk because they live in cramped spaces and may not have running water to wash their hands; it is also economically disastrous because they do not have savings or an assured monthly income to keep themselves going. Greater responsiveness and better planning are urgently required. As William J. Brennan, Jr., Former Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court once said: "We must meet the challenge rather than wish it were not before us."
Now all that we can do when it comes to essential activities such as public transport, ensuring physical distancing, use of face mask, and enforcing respiratory hygiene such as cough etiquette is essential. But most of all we should thank the real heroes who are striving to cure all patients who have COVID-19 and tirelessly trying to protect those who doesn't have the disease. I would like to conclude this by saying a quote which was once said by a person known for his contributions to the American civil rights movement in the 1960s, Martin Luther King, Jr. "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
