Right to vote is not only a right but our responsibility of a citizen .One should make sure that he/she uses its right properly by understanding the responsibility of voting. Right to vote ensures a DEMOCRATIC AND RESPONSIBLE government. Right to vote encourages civic consciousness because it encourages political participation, and the citizens will thus keep tabs and checks on the political leaders and the government.
But still in many parts of India people take voting lightly and just think voting a waste of time and don't obey/ follow their responsibility proper without understanding that voting is also a way of developement .
Voters play a central role in shaping the government and their very futures. They can satisfy their duty as voters by observing these important responsibility.
So to make them release the importance of voting . The government should take steps like fine on the people who choose not to vote by this the number of voters will also increase leading to a democratic country slowly and steady even they will understand the important of voting and increase in number of voters . As government is our leader/represent and we should respect the right to select our representative.
