the Wisdom of the Head (says tradition) gives advice based on LOGIC. The Wisdom of the Heart (says tradition) gives advice based on LOVE.
Though both sound good, the Head gains a reputation of being too strict, while the Heart gains a reputation of being too soft.
For example — Socialism has been compared to the law of the Heart — “from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.” Capitalism has been compared with the law of the Head — “you don’t work, you don’t eat.”
It is possible to go to extremes on both sides. Capitalism claims that Socialism tempts lazy people to fake disabilities, so that they can get a free ride. Socialism claims that some people have real disabilities yet are callously ignored in a competition-driven economy.
