Technology is a useful tool, and it supposed to help us to be more connected with each other, but people seem to make it look bad for many reasons. We can easily catch some moments like a group of friends checking their phones while hanging out. Most people on the subway also have their eyes on the screen, or people with their devices up to take pictures of a concert. In other words, people claim that technology is running the world. It makes us disconnected from others. For me, if that is what people are seeing, then they are not seeing enough. There are three main facts why technology does not make us alone: people lack self-control, technology is claimed to be fake because of how people using it, and people who use it are judged more than those who do not use it. It should be just us that make ourselves alone. It is our decision, not the technology.
