Essay on Truth is lived ,not taught.
Answers
Truth, when lived, can have its constantly enduring impact. A child can be shown letter sets and rhymes. The letters in order stay in their brain always as they utilize it consistently, yet it is never the same with the rhymes. In spite of the fact that a kid requires being educated everything, they ingest the things just when they begin living with them.
A taught thing remains a non-living thing. The educated piece picks up its life when that is lived in the genuine frame. We can see better when we experience the conditions and see the issues ourselves. On the off chance that the issue/happening is valid or false, it is better comprehended when lived. We can show that the fire is hot, yet the youngster can't be taught what is hot. Any subjective term should be lived to be seen, so is the reality.
Truth is lived, not taught.
Hermann Hesse’s words ‘The truth is lived, not taught’ need to be understood thoroughly before venturing to expatiate on them. Here TRUTH does not refer to any ordinary truth, which is so obviously available to be perceived by anyone willing to perceive it. The TRUTH being dealt here is not the truth about the Sun, the Moon, the Earth and the phenomena related to them; the TRUTH here being talked about is the TRUTH about the mysteries concerning life. This TRUTH is only one TRUTH realizing which all queries of the seeker are satisfied. This is the spiritual TRUTH concerning the mysteries of origin of the universe, life, its purpose, and GOD.
All wise sages that have appeared on Earth since the beginning of life have talked about this TRUTH. They have even laid guidelines to realize this ABSOLUTE TRUTH; but very few realize it. One really has to consecrate and dedicate to realize this ULTIMATE TRUTH. Those who realize it can’t teach it to their beloved ones or disciples; this TRUTH can only be actualized by living it every moment seeking it. Then with perseverance and GRACE, the TRUTH reveals ITSELF to the deserving ones or those who are PURE IN HEART. This is what Hermann Hesse’s words mean.
