Unity is strength. A united group of people can always achieve more things than a single man. That is the reason groups are formed in many fields. In ancient times, man used to live alone. He traveled alone and hunted single handedly. But soon he realized that if he joins hands with his fellow men, he can face many of the common dangers. Thus villages were formed which in turn developed into towns, cities and countries. In modern times also groups are formed in all fields and walks of life. We have realized that by forming unions, we can demand and achieve things in a stronger way than by standing alone. There is the story of a rich old man who had tensions. But they always quarreled with one another. The old man knew that if he died, his wealth would be squandered by the quarrelling sons. So he called them to his side and showed a bundle of ten sticks. He asked each one of them to break it into two. But however they tried, none could break the bundle. Then he untied the bundle and gave them each a stick asking them to break it, which they did easily. Thus the sons realized their foolishness and began to live in harmony.

United means being together and without fighting with each other and divided we fall. If you are with many of your friends you stand, if you just alone, you feel when you are being in a problem. Always be united and without being divided.
It is not very easy to be united to be united you must be friendly with your environment and as well as your society, it is starting first with the word "friendship" and ended with a strong bond will is called your "united".
If you really want to be united be friendly, never hurt anyone, talk to everyone politely, ask sorry if you have done any mistake and also never cheat anyone, never let misunderstanding into your friendship and be truthful always. I tell you a simple example to proof that cities are not united but small villages are united.
Nowadays, the modern world doesn't care about what is happening in our environment and in our societies if a person is being hunted or anyone hurts other no on cares about his in cities or towns, but if you see anyone is being hunted by someone unwantedly people rust to attack the person who writes the other person
This is because there is not much facilities in villages and then know what is right and they also know how to face problems, but in our cities we have lots of facilities and we don't want to interfere in others matter this is also good but sometimes this is wrong this is called "divided"
