Cooperation is the process of groups of organisms working or acting together for common, mutual, or some underlying benefit, as opposed to working in competition for selfish benefit. Many animal and plant species cooperate both with other members of their own species and with members of other species.
Cooperatives are based on the values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity. In the tradition of their founders, cooperative members believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others.
One aspect of collaboration (cooperation) that we often overlook is the fact that successful education does not only imply collaboration between teachers amongst themselves and between teachers and students. It also implies that there be collaboration between the parent/s and the school.
Workplace cooperation is a process whereby employees or their representatives participate with management, through consultation and discussion, in resolving issues of common concern. It is a communication mechanism enabling both parties to understand each other's needs, interests and difficulties.
Cooperation is a value that we all should implement in our life.
