Hi there!

Here come my ideas on the topic, please feel free to reuse it any way you want, but I would suggest trying writing it by yourself, using some of the things I include in my essay. It's always a great feeling when you finish a tough piece of writing by yourself!

Enjoy :)

                                                      -----------
Visionary of Modern India: Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya
                                                      -----------

Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, or Mahamana is without any doubt, one of the most prominent personas in the contemporary history of India. A scholar, a visionary, a leader, a journalist, even a lawyer. He was well educated in all the fields relevant to his time. What's the most admirable - he wanted to focus on helping people who needed it most.

What did he do to help the people? He threw away his career in the High Court to help the people when he became 50. As Krishna Gokhale said

Malaviyaji’s sacrifice is a real one. Born in a poor family, he started earning thousands monthly. He tasted luxury and wealth but giving heed to the call of the nation, renouncing all he again embraced poverty.

That is however, only the very tip of an iceberg. He was serving people in many ways, one of which was being a journalist. When he took over the Hindustan Times, he decided to issue not only its English version, but also another one in Hindi. He knew, that information is what people need to be free and able to build a better future for them and for the whole India.

I believe that what he's remembered for the most is creating the BHU (Banaras Hindu University). Even now, it's one of the biggest universities in whole Asia, reaching astonishing number of 35 000 students spread across different fields of study, such as arts, engineering, law or medical studies. His vision was to let people develop individually in order to achieve a better future as a nation.

                                                      -----------

That's it. You can easily add more arguments to what's already there, so no worries, I'm sure you're gonna be great :)

Cheers!

➡️ Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya

Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya was a staunch supporter of Hindu culture and civilization. His contribution to India’s freedom struggle, as well as to education has been significant. The establishment of Benaras Hindu University is the result of his untiring efforts. It is interesting that while collecting funds for the university, he approached even Maharajas, Rajas, rulers and landlords who did not subscribe to his views and yet, strangely, they all contributed open-heatedly and willingly for his cause. None dared refuse him, so appealing was his approach and so convincing were his reasons for a donation.

Madan Mohan Malviya belonged to a poor family. He was born on 25 December 1861. He was a bright student. After graduating in 1891, he joined law but later jumped into the arena of freedom struggle. It is ironic but true that he was loved by both Indian masses and British officers.

Mr Malviya was an Indian to the backbone. He subscribed to the Indian culture and kept his ideas intact all his life. He gained name and fame because of the work he did for social, ethical and educational upliftment. He is called Maharnana and is loved by all. For the poor, he had special feelings. Dressed in immaculate Khaddar Pyjama-Kurta and a head-gear, his image remains ever in the hearts of the people. Unfortunately he died in 1946 — a year before India got independence.

That's it..
