Explanation:

You see, while most ask themselves if God is real a few times throughout their life, I spent a solid two years or my life asking myself this question daily.

Additionally, rather than just asking the question, I searched left, right and center for answers, weighing both sides of the argument equally. And considering I was an atheist for 22 years, I think I gave atheism more of a chance (although atheism did me absolutely no good).

In a faith-based belief system such as Christianity, there has to be a certain level of journeying into the unknown or it isn’t faith at all.

Nevertheless, I have always been a highly analytical guy. I wasn’t going to make any major life decisions before I had some solid ground to support my belief of God’s existence.

I knew if I was going to commit to a set of beliefs and base my life on faith that I would need sound reasoning to defend it. I don’t want a castle with a foundation of sand that I spent years building.
