The human society has always worked to segregate and assign specific work to the women in the society and that's why it was believed that women didn't have much power during the ancient times and was only thought to be doing the household chores. But recent studies have shown that women has been a pivotal part of the evolution of the human society. In the neolithic period when men were mostly out to gather food, the women in the house took the responsibility to take care of the household and children. This included protecting them from threats and so many women would be trained in various forms of defence techniques. Women in the medieval period show regression in their roles due to the rise of the patriarchal society, but the signs of rebellion was clear in various instances where women refused to go by the norms of the society. But the most appropriate progression was made in the recent times where women are shattering gender discrimination and stereotypes everyday with their hard work and determination.
