Women empowerment means to empower the women so that she is able to make her decisions independently. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru once said "To awaken the people, it is the women who must be awakened. Once she is on the move, the family moves, the village moves, the nation moves,". A nation cannot progress if it doesn't work for the betterment of the half of its population.
It has been found that women create a more positive environment for work. But even today women are not given equal opportunity as men. They are looked down by male chauvinist society. They became a victim of heinous crimes like rape, acid attacks.
Girl child should be educated to empower them.Malala Yousafzai, a noble laureate has said, " education is the only solution. Education first". By educating a child, we are educating a future mother who will educate her future generations. She will become a educated citizen and work for the betterment of the society. Our government has also launched Beti bacho beti padho scheme for their betterment.
