                                'Gratitude is Great’

Gratitude is one of the most positive feelings that makes one great. In fact it is the highest form of evolution of a man’s mind. Only sages and saints live in a perennial attitude of gratitude. Ordinary men and women’s minds are cluttered with desires for carnal pleasures, but great people always feel gratitude to God, Universe, and almost everything. Have you ever read the biography or a biography of a great personality? You will be amazed to learn how grateful they all were to their parents, teachers, life, and God in general.

Enlightenment is the journey from ordinary thoughts to the thoughts of gratitude. As one gains experience and wisdom, one realizes one must be grateful to life and its Source. Gratitude is helpful at all levels. We must remember how Jesus would thank God before doing any miracle. The power hidden in gratitude is capable of converting any impossibility into possibility.

If one has to rise in any sphere it is possible only through gratitude. A student must adopt the attitude of gratitude to his/her teachers in order to gain the best of education from them. If a sportsperson or sportswoman has to be at the top in his/her sports, he must be grateful to his/her coach or trainer. If one has to enjoy the best of relationships, then it is possible through gratitude to one another only.

Hence, all of us must adopt attitude of gratitude to excel in material as well as spiritual life. Gratitude will make you great. Be grateful for each and every thing, moment, relationship, and blessing in your life. Be grateful to your parents, teachers, God, and life in general; and life in return will give the best to you. All your desires will be fulfilled and you will achieve all round success.

                               'Examining Exams’

Examination system in India is quite obsolete and ridden with flaws. Owing to the inefficiency of this system the quality of skilled professionals produced in our country is very poor. The fact is Indian examination system is not recognized in the advanced countries. Indian professionals have to pass exams in these countries to be qualified to do jobs there.

Indian examination system needs to be overhauled and made more efficient to bring it to world class level. From pen paper based exams, the system should start computer based exams. The paper based exams suffers from many flaws such as cheating, copying, and other unfair means. In backwards states, using and providing unfair means in the exams has become a lucrative business. Students prefer using unfair means to learning the syllabus for exams. All these flaws exist because of the poor examination system.

In such a scenario students who use unfair means may score more than industrious and bright students. Is it not a flaw? These students who score high grades are then selected for various responsible and high posts. You can imagine the kind of efficiency and honesty they must be putting in to do their jobs!

Indian Examination System encourages students to cram at the cost of understanding, which is quite harmful for the students as well as generally. Our examination system does not encourage skill development. It promotes only rote learning which is not useful in practical life.

The Government must pay heed to improving the examination system to improve the quality of skills in all spheres. India will automatically become advanced when its examination system becomes foolproof.
