The monsoon season is considered to be the best of all seasons. Everyone waits for the rainy day and the weather is pleasant on such a day. A rainy day is a perfect day to walk and be with nature.
On a rainy day, the whole atmosphere is filled with joy. Be it children, adults, or elderly people - everyone loves this day. I can never forget that first day of rain. The month of Ashadha had begun and the Sun God was raining fire. The trees were withering. The springs had disappeared from the gardens. The water of rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes had dried up. Animals, birds, humans, and all beings were getting restless with the heat. There was only one wish in everyone's mind that it should rain, get coolness. Electric fans were running, and water-soaked popsicles were swinging on the doors of many houses. Yet the eyes of the people were fixed on the sky.
The thunder of clouds, the rumble of lightning, and the rustle of the wind changed the whole atmosphere. Slowly the drops of water started falling. The raindrops looked lovely and pleasant! His coldness moistened the heart. The earth started getting wet. Its pungent smell spread all around. Gradually the intensity of the rain increased. Water was visible from the earth to the sky. I sat and watched this sudden change in the form of nature.
