Internet Addiction: Present and Future

Internet is a vast world beyond the world we see. It acts as a source of engagement and entertainment. It is an amazing platform to research, entertain ourselves in our free time and much more. But, at times over using and being too dependent on the internet can develop an addiction to it. Like any addiction, the addiction to the internet can deeply affect us in our life. Addiction for anything is not good. It impacts our physical as well as mental health. Many times, internet addiction can cause a person to be anxious and depressed. It may cause other health problems too like obesity, heart condition, etc. Hence it is important to maintain and track our screen time and the time spent online. Also, it is essential to maintain a healthy life with everything having a proper time for it to be done.

Internet Addiction is one of the most challenging problems in our world, currently. It is especially common among adolescents as they are highly addicted and glued to their screens. This addiction reduces the person's efficiency to function properly. It can ruin our future leaders and affects the people as well as the national income of the country. The future is all about technology and open internet access but it can impact people in several ways. It can ruin physical health, mental health, reduce creativity and result in the person being highly dependent on the internet. As rightly said by Andrew Brown, "The Internet is so big, so powerful and pointless that for some people it is a complete substitute for life". But we need to stop this. According to a research done, it has been found that the students having internet addiction go under severe problems such as dropping out, reduced study time, increased anxiety, reduced interaction with peers, lesser physical activities and are more prone to certain health problems.

The future of internet addiction is dangerous, we must stop it before it's too late. Like any addiction, internet addiction is also a serious matter which must not be overlooked. We must stand against it to make our present and future a safe and healthy environment, online.

Explanation:

\sf{"Internet\:Addiction\::\:Present\:and\:Future"}

Internet, internet, internet all around. Nowadays we use internet in our day-to-day lives for every use. We haven't forgotten when Einstein said that there was no point of learning the dates of the baťtles, and everyone could find them in a book. But who will take the hèck of finding the dates in different books! It's replaced by search engines, via internet in the 21st Century.

Well, some people just use it for time paśs, like playing games. Now, the point is they get so much addicted that it's almost inevitable. But that's a different topic. Thus, it increases the screen time and exposure to eyes.

At the present time, internet is used, majority of people use 60% time of their daily lives in internet. It can be for various reasons. Students use it for studies, managers for complex calculations etc.

In the future, we'll be introduced to a fully ònline life concept ; that would be èasy, compared to the present life concept.

But everything has its own pros and cons. Internet has many, undeniable positive things. But it doesn't outweigh the cons.

First of all, many of us, face the concept of phishing and cyber crime. A very recent incident took place at Discord, a catchy nitro gift link just hacked the accoùnts of a ton of people. Giving out ATM pins and pàsses, just to avail premium features, leading to capture of accounts.

But, the most important is the affected mental health. First of all, it increases the exposure of eyes to the screen, weakening it because of harmful blue rays. Secondly, it leads to anxiety and fatigue, non punctuality (forgetfulness) and mostly leads to headache due to intense stress. As said above, this can be very harmful in the long run, and much more if the same level of internet addiction remains at the future levels.

Thus, I would recommend to use internet, not for time pašs, because you haven't discovered the whole world yet! Also, do not provide any sensitive information out of emotions. Internet is both a boon and a bane, so let's use it correctly.
