SPEECH :-
SAVE ELECTRICITY
Greeting of the day to the respected principal, teachers and my dear friends. Today I would like to share my views on the greatest wonder of science 'electricity'. In today's mechanical era, none of the work is possible without electrical energy. There are many ways to generate electricity and the main ones are water, wind, sunlight and coal. It significantly reduces the amount of work that could be done in a manual way. Electricity is a controllable and convenient form of energy used in all areas of our life and activity. Its a source of light, heat and other comforts.
In India electricity is generated as per the potential capacity of the country. But due to misuse of electrical power in urban cities, some villages do not get a chance to enjoy its beneficiaries. There are many places in the country struggling to get 24 hours supply of electrity. Although we have to pay a bill for using electricity, many careless people do not use it conciously. Without having electricity in our households would mean a return to dark ages. We waste a lot of electricity by keeping our appliances on without any purpose. We can save electricity by switching them off when not in use.
Electricity is also generated using fossil fuel and natural gases. We have to understand a fact that the electrical energy generated by these resources is limited. Electricity is one of the best gift of science to mankind. This is an age of electricity. Saving electricity would reduce our carbon footprint. Electricity is a need of an hour which needs to be preserved and conserved for future generations. The future rests on our action in present, so its important that we take a different attitude towards these problems now. We must know that this basic resource is for every human being and should be used properly. We must take into consideration, the scarcity as well as the necessity of electricity in our life.
