The league of nations was the first-ever international organisation made that was aimed to establish world peace. It was made in the Paris Peace Conference, after the 1st world war.

One of the most important tasks the League of Nations did, pertaining to its aim was solving a dispute that arose between Sweden and Finland over the sovereignty of Aaland Island. The League also solved the frontier dispute between Poland and Germany in upper Silesia.

Though the league could not prevent the 2nd world war, it brought about peace in various places
