Hence we obtain ethane

jay1001: pardon !
jay1001: How ?
Anonymous: check it
jay1001: Bro, you check it. I am pretty confident of my organic chemistry topic. Cleared JEE also with an awesome mark in chemistry brother so yea, this reaction is pretty important and common
sona8381: ok
jay1001: Sorry for this spam.....
Anonymous: hey now you have corrected it
Anonymous: how clever you are!
jay1001: Yea I saw that C2H5 , that was a small really doesn't matter much, cuz it is an intermediate and anyone would know that it's existance and isolation is impossible
jay1001: *small mistake ( stuff happens like that when you handle college studies and clear school doubts) lol

hey mate,

here is your answer:

method 1:

2CH3Cl+ 2[H]----> C2H6 +2HCl

when methyl chloride reacts in the presence of Zn-Cu couple and dil.HCl then,ethane is produced.
