ethanoic acid ( acetic acid) cannot form a salt with HCL ( hydrochloric acid ) , because salt is only formed when the nature of acid and the nature of base diminishes when they come in contact with each other and neutralize each other in the process . So , only an acid and a base can form Salt and water . 2 acids can never form a salt because 2 acids aren't capable of neutralizing each other . Hence this statement is false as ethanoic acid ( acetic acid ) and hydrochloric acid cannot form a salt .
