Ethanol on addition of concentrated sulphuric acid at 443 k produces ethanal ethene methanol

When concentrated sulphuric acid is added to Ethyl alcohol and the mixture is heated upto 170°C, it causes dehydration of Ethyl alcohol to giveethene. Ethanol can also be dehydrated by Al2O3 at 350°C.
