Within the state of J&K, there are a number of groups that share with each other common traits. Apart from this, these groups also share religious thoughts, language, tribes and caste system.
For any ethnic group to survive or be successful it is important that each of its members should be identified distinctly. J&K state is also suffering from issues related to plural societies and cultural diversities within these ethnic groups.
Some of the new ethnic groups have also been emerged on the basis of religious beliefs, political conditions, language, race or tribe.
J&K can be best described presently as being plural ethnically plural on account of diversified culture. The region has high concentration of both Hindus and Muslims.
In order to overcome this problem it is important that both ethnic groups come face to face and sit and talk to each other. Political stability is must for J&K state.
