Answer:
We also know that alkenes are more reactive than alkanes because alkenes have a double bond and a double bond is unstable than a single bond. So alkenes can react with some reagents at room temperature in order to stabilise. Some of the reagents that an alkene can react with are halogens(Cl22,Br22), hydorgen halides(HCl,HBr) or Steam(H22O). From these three you can choose Steam or any hydrogen halide, but i will choose HCl(Hydrochloric acid) , a hydrogen halide. So, we will react ethene with HCl at room temperature and Electrophilic Addition will take place with the double bond rupturing and hydrogen being added on one side and chlorine on the other, forming chloroethane
