Hey there,

Eutrophication is called the natural ageing of the lake because as a human being loses its strength and with age, similarly the lake uses its ability too.

In this process, nutrients such as phosphorus and nitrogen from the neighbouring watersheds empty into the lakes. This causes nutritional overload in the lake and makes it more shallow and growth friendly.

This causes the algal bloom and extensive growth of other fungal plants which basically prohibits the growth and ruins water purity and quality.

To prevent eutrophication, plants by the lake side must be planted to share the nutrients and fertilizers to kill algal bloom.

Thanks for asking.

Eutrophication is the natural aging of a lake by nutrient enrichment of its water. With time, streams draining into the lake introduce nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus, which encourage the growth of aquatic organisms.

As the lake's fertility increases, algal bloom occurs. Algal bloom causes the deterioration of water quality and fish mortality and dead remains begin to be deposited on the lake bottom. Over the year, the lake is finally converted into the land.
