Given,

  • (-1/27)^{-2/3} is given.

To find,

  • We have to evaluate the given expression.

Solution,

(-1/27)^{-2/3} can be evaluated as 9.

We can simply evaluate the given expression by using the laws of exponents.

   27 can be written as 3*3*3 i.e. (3)³

                     = (-1/27)^{-2/3}

                     = ((-1/3)^3)^{-2/3}

                     = (-1/3)^{-2}      [((a^m)^n) = (a)^{mn}]

                     = (-3)^2           [a^{-m} = 1/a^m]

                     = 9

Hence, (-1/27)^{-2/3} can be evaluated as 9.
