by using the property (a+b)(a-b)=a²-b²
=(100)²-1
=10000-1

WE KNOW THE IDENTITY : - a^2-b^2 = (a-b) (a+b)
So,
(101-99)
=(100+ 1) × (100 - 1)
= (100^2 - 1^2)
= 10000-1
= 9999
