2(a+ (3+2a)²)

Apply algebraic Identify : (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b²

= 2(a + (3)² + 2(3)(2a) + (2a)²)

Simplify:

= 2(a + 9 + 12a + 4a²)

= 2( 4a² + 13a + 9)

Factorise:

= 2(a + 1)(4a + 9)

Answer: 2(a + 1)(4a + 9)

Let us arrange the terms in the bracket first,

= 2(a+2(3+2a))

First, we will multiply 2 into the bracket,

=2(a+6+4a)

Now, we will multiply the remaining 2 into the remaining bracket,

=2a+12+8a

=10a + 12

There you have it!

jyafanduo: I got that too......thanks
