Correct Question -

Evaluate 5 cos square 60°+ 4 sec square 30° – tan square 45° / sin square 30° + cos square 30°

To -

Evaluate the given equation

Solution -

In the question, we are provided with a trigonometry equation and we need to evaluation it. For that we will write the values of the cos, tan, sec and sin and then we will further solve the question. Let;s do it!

So -

First let's write the values of each of them -

\longrightarrow cos 60° = \sf\frac{1}{2}

\longrightarrow sec 30° = \sf\frac{2}{\sqrt{3} }

\longrightarrow tan 45° = 1

\longrightarrow sin 30° = \sf\frac{1}{2}

On substituting the values -

→ 5(1/2)² + 4(2√3)² - 1/ (1/2)² + 3/4

→ 5(1/4) + 16/3 - 1/ 1/4 + 3/4

→ (5/4) + 16/3 - 1/ 1/4 + 3/4

→ 5 + 64 - 12/12 / 4/4

67/12
