Answer:

(a) [(-6)+5] ÷ [(-2)+1]

So, first evaluate the bracket terms

[(-6)+5]=[-1]. And [(-2)+1]=[-1]

We can write,

[-1]÷[-1] = 1

1 is the answer

For (b) (-18)x(-5)x(-4)

For simplicity first multiply those whose product is in tens unit

So i multiply (-5)x(-4) = 20

This means now I have to multiple (-18)x(20) = (-18) x 2 x 10 = (-36) x (10) = (-360)

I can multiply in this order because of associative law, ax(bxc) =(axb) xc.

So (- 360) is the answer for b.
