Mohammed Ghori was an ambitious leader. he was the younger brother of ruler gaur who handed the responsibility to Ghori to rule over ghazni in 1173AD . Ghori was a ambitious leader and he was not satisfied with Ghazni and wanted to expand his empire. he wanted to rule India. he knew all the things about India.he wanted to spread Islam in India.Ghori had 1,20,000 army and he attacked India . he firstly attacked Multan and conquered it In 1178AD. he also captured lower sindh later. during the same year he invaded Gujarat but was defeated by ruler bhimdev in the battle of kayadara. this was his first invasion against Hindu Kings and he had to go back to his kingdom. Mohammed Ghori realised that main place to capture In India is Punjab so he conquered Peshawar in 1179 AD . in 1181 AD Ghori invaded Punjab once again and looted the money . he fought two battles of tarain in 1191&1192 against prithviraj chauhan and defeated him. then Ghori invaded in kannauj in 1194 AD and defeated jai chand rathore .Qutub- ud- din Aibak was viceroy of Mohammed Ghori. he attacked Bhimdev, King of Gujarat and defeated him in the battle and conquered Gujarat. Ghori attacked Bihar In 1197 and Bengal in 1202 and conquered them. in 1205 he again invaded India and khokhars stood against him and he defeated them. Then Turks ruled India for about next three hundred years
