The coverage of sports personalities by media in relation to covid 19 pandemic-

• As the whole world is dealing with Corona virus disease and therefore lockdown of the countries have been announced. This lead to the shutdown of many important activities including economic, education and sports because of the strict government orders to follow Quarantine measures.

• It is a known fact that media is busy in coverage of pandemic cases spreading worldwide. However, if any of the sports or movie personalities get affected by this disease also come in limelight via sensationalism.

• Recent example of sports person got effected of corona disease was Ramesh Tikaram of age 51 who was an Indian para athlete. He then died on 16th July, 2020.

• Some more examples of corona effected celebrities are Amitabh Bachchan and his family excluding Jaya Bachchan. They are in headlines all day. Media is focusing on Amitabh's lifestyle and showing on television all day long.

• Some media wants to be the center of attention so they promote false news and rumors, creating negative environment causing anxiety in people. But on the other hand certain media also proving correct information and generating awareness and WHO's guidelines in public regarding SARS-Cov2.

• Media is also covering information about the losses due to this pandemic either of lives of people or economy.

• Certain Media is also spreading awareness of DO's and DONT's in this pandemic for taking precautions to save life and helps to control the spread of Covid-19 as much as possible.

• Media is also busy in coverage of the other problems occurring in nation like disastrous activities and their impacts at the same time. For example, flood in Assam and Amphan in eastern India and Bangladesh.
