Gandhiji introduced Non Cooperation movement.Though it was withdrawn prematurely it was successful in bringing Indians closer and helped in giving a national charectar to country's freedom struggle.He started Salt Satyagraha which was an open challenge to British.It became the second biggest mass movement .He also opened Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat where people of all caster were warmly welcomed.He also forced the British officials to increase the price of Indigo for the cause of peasants.
