• Evaluate $10.2^{2}$ using identity.

$\star\:\:\bf\large\underline\blue{Solution:-}$

${(10 .2)}^{2}$

$= {(10 + 0.2)}^{2}$

Now, we can apply the identity i.e.

${(x + y)}^{2} = {x}^{2} + 2xy + {y}^{2}$

Therefore,

${(10 + 0.2)}^{2}$

$= {10}^{2} + {0.2}^{2} + 2 \times 10 \times 0.2$

$= 100 + 0.04 + 4$

$= 104.04$

• ${(10.2)}^{2} = 104.04$
