\star\:\:\bf\large\underline\blue{Question:-}

  • Evaluate 10.2^{2} using identity.

\star\:\:\bf\large\underline\blue{Solution:-}

 {(10 .2)}^{2}

 =  {(10 + 0.2)}^{2}

Now, we can apply the identity i.e.

 {(x + y)}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  + 2xy +  {y}^{2}

Therefore,

 {(10 + 0.2)}^{2}

 =  {10}^{2}  +  {0.2}^{2}  + 2 \times 10 \times 0.2

 = 100 + 0.04 + 4

 = 104.04

\star\:\:\bf\large\underline\blue{Answer:-}

  •  {(10.2)}^{2}  = 104.04
