Evaluate the following:-
 \frac{1}{i}  +  \frac{1}{ {i}^{2} }  +  \frac{1}{ {i}^{3} }  +  \frac{1}{ {i}^{4} }  + ........... +  \frac{1}{ {i}^{20} }

by sum of GP a( r^n - 1) /(r-1)
1/i + 1/i^2 .......+1/i^20 = 1/i(1/i^20-1)/(1/i-1)
since 1/i^20 = 1
thus sum = 1/i (1-1)/(1/i-1) = 0

Hrishu1: By the way 1/i is greater or less than 1
Anonymous: it is less than 1 since on rationalising u get -i
Hrishu1: If it is less than 1 than the G.P should be a(1-r^n)/1-r
Anonymous: i think we cant say much
Anonymous: it doesn't matter u can take negative sign common from numerator and denominator than u will get same result
Anonymous: got it
Anonymous: bt in real we can say much about i less than one or greater than one coz its a complex no.
Hrishu1: oh thank you
Harshita23411: Hmm u really worth it robin
