~Solution :-

 \leadsto In your given question, we can do the solution as below;

 \sf{97 \times 103}

 \to \sf{(100 - 3)(100 + 3)}

  • Using the Identity ~  \tt{(x-y)(x+y)=x^2-y^2}. Where, x = 100, y = 3.

 \to \sf{(100 {)}^{2}  - (4 {)}^{2}}

 \to \sf{10000 - 16}

 \implies \bf \red{9984}

  • Hence, Using identities, 97 × 103 = 9984.
