To evaluate the given equation: [(–36) ÷ 12] ÷ 3 (i) [(– 6) + 5)] ÷ [(–2) + 1]

we must apply BODMAS RULE

ie first Bracket open then OF then DIVIDE then MULTIPLY then ADD and at last SUBTRACT

 = [( - 36) \div 12] \div 3 \\ \\ = ( - 3) \div 3 \\ \\ = - 1

[( - 6) + 5)] \div [( - 2) + 1]\\ \\ = ( - 6 + 5) \div ( - 2 + 1) \\ \\ = ( - 1) \div ( - 1) \\ \\ = 1
